11-year-old on electric bike involved in crash in Cypress, Harris County Precinct 4 officials say

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) -- Authorities said an 11-year-old juvenile on an electric bike was involved in a crash in Cypress on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office, deputies responded to the reported crash in the 18199 block of Misty Jade Lane.

Investigators said preliminary information indicates that the 11-year-old tried to go around a vehicle stopped at an intersection before colliding head-on with an oncoming vehicle.

Pct. 4 officials said that emergency crews responded to the scene to treat the juvenile, whose condition is unknown at this time. Authorities said the investigation is still ongoing.
